This characterful Bordeaux blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot comes from the sun-drenched slopes of Stellenbosch Mountain and matured for 18 months in French oak barrels - 30% of which in new wood.
On the nose, the wine reveals dense aromas of dark berries, plum and a hint of violet. A full-bodied, juicy palate unfolds with notes of dark chocolate and ripe fruit. The fine tannin structure and balanced acidity lead to a long, elegant finish.
The 2019 vintage is one of the best in Stellenbosch - the combination of granite-rich soil and optimal sunshine ensures concentrated aromas and perfectly ripe tannins.
A versatile food companion: Especially recommended with beef, lamb, game, duck or spicy dishes with black pepper or cloves.
