Dornier Merlot 2021 - Elegant classic from Stellenbosch Mountain

The Dornier Merlot 2021 comes from the southwest-facing slopes of Stellenbosch Mountain, where red and yellow granite weathered soils with a high clay content provide ideal conditions for Merlot. With careful cultivation, the vines produce low yields and high grape quality.
On the nose, the wine has aromas of cherry, dark berries and a hint of fynbos. The ruby red Merlot impresses on the palate with freshness, balance and juicy notes of plum, blackcurrant and ripe cherry. A subtle elegance and persistent fullness make it a charming companion.
The grapes were harvested by hand, fermented in stainless steel tanks and matured for 18 months in French oak before final blending. A Merlot with depth, structure and fine balance.
Recommended food: Game dishes such as kudu, braised or roasted beef and mature cheese.
