More information about Egiazki Patxaran
The "Basarana" or in German "wild plum" gives its name to the Egiazki Patxaran. In the Basque Country, the consumption of Patxaran is a tradition.
Patxaran owes its particular red/pink color to the variety of sloes. The aromas of sloe are expressed through the house anise (with less sweetness).
On the nose, there are delicate notes of anise and some spice. On the palate, compote-like fruity notes appear, which are particularly brought out by the warmth and strength of the perfectly integrated alcohol.
Patxaran is produced in stainless steel tanks and macerated between 5 and 10 months. The recipe does not use colorants or artificial flavors. Thus, the taste and appearance are 100% due to the natural ingredients.

Spiritueux Egiazki
We are Camille & Benjamin Fourt Arteaga, twins from Saint Pée sur Nivelle in the Basque Country. We love our homeland and everything related to it. At the end of our studies, driven by our entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to build our project between brothers, we embarked on the adventure Egiazki. Being very attached to our origins and culture, working with a product from the Basque Country seemed obvious and even a heritage. What better way to start than with a family recipe? So in 2014 we decided to create one of the first Patxarans produced in Iparralde (northern Basque Country). Very quickly we decided to become specialists in Basque liqueurs, playing tradition and modernity. Starting from a somewhat crazy project between brothers, Egiazki quickly became a creative, human adventure and above all full of passion!
