Gyokuro Asahi Shade Tea Organic: Gyokuri Asahi is a so-called shade tea, as the tea bushes are covered with bamboo mats around two weeks before harvesting. This gives this Japanese rarity its unique character. The covering means that fewer tannins can form. However, this tea is very stimulating due to its high caffeine content. Its fine, regular leaf is a deep green, slightly shiny color and has a strong, yet refined aroma with a hint of sweetness. Its excellent quality allows it to be infused two to three times, whereby the infusion time is extended accordingly.
