The Fairview Winemaker's Selection Caldera glows a powerful red in the glass and impresses with its complexity on the nose. Aromas of red berries and fynbos are surrounded by a pinch of pepper and indulge the connoisseur's senses. The cuvée of Grenache Noir (45%), Shiraz (41%), Mourvèdre (9%) and Cinsault (5%) is also fruity and spicy on the palate. A hint of oak adds great accents to the notes of red cherries before the Fairview Winemaker's Selection Caldera finishes with a lingering aftertaste. Enjoy this red wine, which has matured for nine months in French oak, on its own or with dark meat or savory dishes.
