More information about Flöff
A magical mixed beer drink for a magical creature.
A legendary creature lives in the unexplored depths of the Bavarian Alps. The Flöff feels most at home among rough boulders, evergreen forests and rugged nature. But it has a fatal weakness: the scent of apples and cinnamon is able to lure the Flöff out of its hiding place. The first person to see the creature was master brewer Alois Dinkelsbühl. One night he caught the Flöff in his brewery. The hairy monster was just about to taste one of the brewer's new brews. Dinkelsbühl was developing a new festival beer and had decided on the tempting ingredients of cinnamon and apples in the brew. The Flöff could not resist the siren call. Since then, the wondrous mythical creature has been spotted time and again. Christmas and Christmas markets are places that magically attract him.
As a tribute to the friendly Flöff and his love of cinnamon and apples, brewer Alois Dinkelsbühl dedicated a winter beer to him and named it after him.
At the right temperature, the beer has a heavenly aroma and taste of baked apple, vanilla, creamy caramel and cinnamon. Unlike the vast majority of beers, Flöff is not enjoyed well chilled, but heated to a good 60 to 70 degrees before consumption. The heat brings out the full-bodied aromas of the winter beer wonderfully. But be careful, the drink must not get too hot, otherwise you will burn your tongue and all the alcohol will be lost. And nobody really wants that!
