More information about KAISERWEISSE

TYRELL Kaiserweisse is a strong beer in the classic style of a Berliner Weisse, made from sour fermentation. In its heyday, in the 1920s, it was also known as Riesling or Champagne Weisse. Back then, it was already a beer for special occasions.

Kaiserweisse is brewed using a process from the 1920s. This involves multiple fermentation with different cultures of yeast and lactic acid bacteria, which combine to produce a wonderful taste experience of acidity, fruit and malty tones. The beer is matured in the bottles, following the tradition of Sandweisse. This Berliner Weisse was buried in the sand of the Mark Brandenburg and only drunk years later. How you proceed with your Kaiserweisse is of course up to you. The master brewer always recommends buying two, one to enjoy straight away and one to store (or bury?).
