More information about Friend or Foe? Rum Barrel Aged
Beer style: Imperial Stout
Friend or Foe? is a powerful Imperial Stout from Rockmill The mahogany-colored beer specialty was created in collaboration with the Дідько brewery from Kiev and brings a densely woven symphony of dark aromas into your glass The composition of roasted malt, peaty hints, caramel, roasted nuts, coffee and chocolate is an exquisite drop in itself, but the brewers wanted to top their own achievement To surpass themselves, they bottled their award-winning masterpiece in oak barrels and left it to mature for nine months The barrels of their choice previously housed Armagnac and rum respectively
While the Armagnac-soaked wood lends the creation the finest notes of fine brandy, the rum provides its unmistakable aroma, which perfectly matches the character of the Imperial Stout
Friend or Foe? flows into the glass in each version in the color of ebony and adorns itself with a nut-brown head The version matured in rum barrels smells enticingly of peat, chocolate, smoke and rum raisins The first sip is a creamy, silky-soft affair and lies on the tongue with a composition of sweet milk chocolate, toffee and rum The 12.0 % alcohol content contributes a fire that warms body and soul
