More information about Görlitzer Bahnhof
Görlitzer Bahnhof is the heart of Berlin's trendy Kreuzberg district and a hub for the city's debauched nightlife The Görli is the place to be, especially at weekends
The capital city brewery BRLO has dedicated a beer to the Görli that absolutely does justice to the cult location with a powerful 11.1% alcohol content and intense roasted and smoky notes
The aptly named "Görlitzer Bahnhof" is a barrel-aged imperial stout that was allowed to mature in American bourbon and Barbados rum barrels after completion of the brewing process Raisin Bomber was used as the base The result is a highly aromatic beer with a powerful roasted character and subtle notes of vanilla and coffee
This beery homage to the Görlitz train station flows out of the bottle in a deep dark coffee brown and is crowned with a fleeting veil of hazelnut-brown foam A strong aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate, rum-soaked raisins and spicy bourbon rises to the nose and entices you to take your first sip This reveals a voluminous body, The notes of toasted malt and freshly brewed coffee create a stable roasted character The full-bodied aromas of exotic vanilla, bourbon-soaked wood, melt-in-the-mouth chocolate and candied dark fruits complete the interplay of flavors The 11.1% alcohol content is cleverly integrated into the taste and ensures a pleasant warmth in body and soul
