More information about Gran Familia Altamira Malbec 2018

The "Gran Reserva" version of the family: very dark purple red. Characteristic aromas that are particularly reminiscent of violets and fresh red berries.

The density, complexity and minerality that can be detected on the nose are confirmed on the palate: sour cherry, raspberry, blackberry, boysenberry, plum and hints of sweet herbs are joined by roasted notes and aromas of dark chocolate. A rich, dense texture combined with exciting acidity.

Aged for 22 months in French barriques.

Bodega Gimenez Riili

Legend has it that the passion for winemaking has been running through the veins of the Gimenez Riili family since the 19th century. Two heads of families, one from Spain, the other from Italy, came to the lands of Guaymallén and were encouraged by the beautiful soils to fulfill their dreams: To offer their families a good life - and to build their own winery. Generations later, these two families are intertwined by love - as are their vineyards. The Gimenez Riili now share a single story, born of family ties, diversity of opinion and a commitment to move forward with passion, brotherhood and work.
