The quince has to be stroked, the fuzz removed, then cut and only then processed. It takes work, but the effort is worth it.
The aroma of quince cannot be compared to anything else, it is a unique blend of elderberry, apple, lemon, peach, pineapple, pear, roses and much more. A very delicate fragrance.
The Portuguese word for quince, "marmelo", has evolved into the word marmalade. But this wonderful fruit is suitable for much more than jam or jelly. In liaison with our Hartingowe Gin, it is an unparalleled aroma bomb.
