The story of the Hösl brewery in Mitterteich is basically a love story: Michael, the founding father of the brewery, actually wanted to move to America and brew beer there together with his brother, but love intervened: When Michael met Margarete, he forgot all about his thirst for adventure Instead, the two made their love official and moved to Mitterteich Michael and Margarete bought a brewery with the dowry that was still customary at the time, laying the foundations for today's Hösl Bräu
