More information about Kwas Epsilon
Kwas Epsilon is a Double India Sour from Pinta The 7.5% beer is brewed with three different strains of lactic acid bacteria and delights with an unusually creamy, soft freshness Five different hop varieties also ensure a wide range of flavors and plenty of substance
The recipe comes from the successful duo Paweł Masłowski / Ziemowit Fałat, who are responsible for many of the highlights in Browar Pinta's varied range For Kwas Epsilon, the pair envisioned a beer that is both tropical and fruity as well as sour, sweet and bitter Kwas Epsilon meets all of these criteria and is a complex masterpiece with a diverse character
Kwas Epsilon flows into the glass in radiant gold and is adorned with a fleeting veil of white foam, which quickly makes way for the wonderful aroma A fresh, fruity mixture of tropical fruit, juicy citrus fruits and tart grapefruit rises to the nose and whets the appetite for the first sip The first sip delivers what the olfactory first impression promises: Dominant fruity notes of lime and passion fruit tickle the taste buds before the hops push a strong bitterness and a wave of juicy orange behind it The malt contributes fine notes of oven-fresh cookies, but remains discreetly in the background The fruity acidity runs like a red thread through the drinking pleasure and makes Kwas Epsilon a quaffable refreshment
