A fascinating violet-red with intense aromas of ripe mulberries, typical of the Franschhoek terroir - this is how the La Motte Franschhoek Syrah presents itself in the glass. The bouquet is rounded off with notes of black olives and a hint of aniseed. On the palate, the wine is fresh, juicy and has a supple structure. Aromas of cherries, spices and a pleasant freshness make it an elegant pleasure with excellent ageing potential.
"The La Motte Franschhoek Syrah matured for eighteen months in French oak and is ideal with spicy dishes, grilled vegetables, lamb and game are particularly recommended. The red wine is also a good choice for barbecues - especially with meat in sweet and spicy marinades such as chutneys and berry sauces.
