More information about Lanzerac Le Général Left Bank Blend 2020
Only the best barrels of a vintage are selected for the Lanzerac Le Général. This results in a full-bodied cuvée that delights with notes of vanilla and nutmeg as well as fruity aromas of dark berries. Nuances of blackcurrant and dark chocolate are noticeable on the palate, paired with smoky undertones. Soft tannins and a long-lasting finish round off the Lanzerac Le Général perfectly. The cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (24%), Malbec (10%) and Petit Verdot (6%) matured for 20 months in French oak and is an ideal accompaniment to beef with a herb crust or lamb. But Lanzerac Le Général is also highly recommended for dessert - try it with a chocolate mousse with cherries. Incidentally, the name of the wine is reminiscent of the general named Lanzerac, a good friend of Elizabeth Katherina English, who named her winery after him.
