The Lanzerac Pioneer Pinotage is a tribute to the first Pinotage bottled at Lanzerac in 1959. The grapes come from a single vineyard in a single location and produce a red wine with an excellent dark color and aromas that are characteristic of the grape variety: Notes of ripe plums and red fruits pamper the nose and palate. Velvety smooth and long-lasting on the palate, the Lanzerac Pionier Pinotage is a pleasure for every red wine lover. If you have a little patience, you will be able to discover further aromas in the complex red wine, which has matured for 21 months in small French oak barrels - then luxurious caramel and chocolate notes will be added. But even today, the Lanzerac Pionier Pinotage is a highlight with dark meat, duck or a delicious curry.
