Gate A stands for the beginning of our gin adventure and the number 42 for the alcohol content of 42%. This classic dry gin is based on the original distillate of Layover Gate Z48 and is the be-all and end-all for us.
The classic juniper note is combined with fresh citrus and the play of sweetness and acidity of passion fruit. In addition, the essential oils of thyme and rosemary and the pleasant spicy sharpness of grapefruit pepper.

My godfather runs a small distillery on Lake Constance, which has been in the family for many generations. For a long time, I thought about creating my own gin for friends and colleagues from our fine spirits. But I knew that I could never have done this on my own. So with the help of family members, friends and acquaintances, I set out on my gin adventure in March 2021. We were determined to make a special gin that reflected my passion for flying. As a pilot, I have the privilege of getting to know many beautiful places along with their scents and delicacies. And so our German Gins Layover was born: a name that both creates wanderlust and does justice to its taste. To my surprise, it was so well received that we soon expanded production!
