More information about Albin Roggenkorn
The Albin Roggenkorn is an original Mecklenburger. As with its brother, the Albin Weizenkorn, we wanted to produce a good, regional product. Rye grain brandies are much more intense than the wheat grain classics - but they are also more difficult to process. We distil the rye grain with rye and an excellent rye malt with all our craftsmanship - and still leave it with its original and unique character.
What does Albin rye grain taste like?
Albin rye grain tastes more intense and full-bodied than our wheat grain and impresses with its earthy and strong bready-malty aroma.
What is the alcohol content of Albin Roggenkorn?
The grain spirit has an alcohol content of 38% vol.
What does Albin mean?
Albin is first and foremost a name. It is derived from the Latin word "albus", which means white. White - just like our grain brandies.

Together with his wife Katharina, Martin sat down to plan the future project. The name MÆNNERHOBBY was chosen relatively quickly - what else should a small distillery in the village where Martin distills good schnapps be called? At that time, no one knew how big the whole thing would become. Martin didn't have any real prior knowledge, but that wasn't a problem either. In our digital age, you can always help yourself. Of...
