More information about Mahrs Bräu Summer Pils
If the brewers at Mahr Bräu have their way, then there are situations in which "[...] a little lightness (in the) bottle" is needed. This is the case when you feel an urgent thirst for beer in the afternoon, when you want to refresh yourself with a beer on a bike ride and then continue on your way, when you want a quick beer on the way to an appointment, after training and actually always in summer. When the temperatures climb into the double digits and the sun is blazing down from the sky, you don't need a heavy, complex, high-proof brew. Instead, you thirst for cool, light-footed refreshment.
And this is exactly where Mahrs Bräu comes into play again. In line with their desire for "[...] lightness (in the) bottle", the team has come up with a slender summer pilsner that scores points with its mild character and feather-light 2.8% alcohol content. This bottom-fermented treat for the palate smells of spicy yeast, oven-fresh bread and herbs. In terms of taste, the Bamberg beer delivers a skillfully balanced blend of pithy grain, bread crust, herbal notes and a hint of fruit. A delicate, well-measured bitterness skilfully rounds off this fine summer pilsner.
Its makers prefer to eat fish with their pilsner. Fresh grilled trout, for example, with an olive oil and lemon marinade, dill potatoes, butter and a generous dollop of herb quark.
