The vineyards that provide the grapes for the Mont Rochelle Syrah lie 200 to 450 meters above sea level and produce a multi-layered and complex wine. This is already noticeable on the nose, as the aroma of red and dark fruits pampers the connoisseur's senses, while aromas of white pepper and cloves provide spicy accents. Juicy notes of red fruits and nuances of spices can also be found on the palate. The pleasant tannin structure gives the elegant Mont Rochelle Syrah a lovely mouthfeel. The red wine matures for eighteen months in French oak and is an excellent accompaniment to spicy or dark meat. But the Mont Rochelle Syrah is also a delight for red wine fans on its own.
