Nederburg Double Barrel Reserve 2021 - Red wine

Incredibly well-balanced - that's the Nederburg Double Barrel Reserve. The classic red wine cuvée made from Cabernet Sauvignon (49%), Cabernet Franc (20%), Merlot (18%), Petit Verdot (7%) and Malbec (6%) presents itself in the glass in a dark ruby red. The fruity, spicy bouquet scores with aromas of blueberries and blackcurrants, accompanied by black pepper. Full-bodied and silky smooth, the red wine caresses the palate. Notes of plums and blackcurrants provide a fruity taste and the elegant tannins ensure a pleasant mouthfeel. The grape varieties used for the Nederburg Double Barrel Reserve matured separately in French oak for fifteen months. Halfway through, however, some of the wine has already been blended and returned to the barrels to give the wine even more complexity. This red wine is best served with spicy dishes with dark meat, which may come from the grill. But your favorite pasta or mature cheese are also a good choice with the Nederburg Doule Barrel Reserve.
