The Neethlingshof The Owl Post Pinotage presents itself in a deep ruby red and impresses with its rich aromas. Notes of dark plum, mulberry, raspberry and dark chocolate unfold on the nose, accompanied by subtle nuances of white pepper and roasted aromas.
"On the palate, the red wine, which matured for eighteen months in French and American oak, impresses with aromas of dark fruit and blueberry, rounded off by undertones of mocha and toasted coconut. The fine tannins give the wine a long, structured and earthy finish that underlines its complexity.
Netthlingshof The Owl Post Pinotage is an excellent accompaniment to game dishes such as venison or oxtail, as well as a curry. Spicy cheeses such as Cheddar or Gruyère also harmonize perfectly, as do vegetarian dishes, such as eggplants or baked artichokes. And for a sweet finish: a dark chocolate truffle cake. Incidentally, the name of the red wine is reminiscent of the owls that are used in the vineyards for natural pest control.
