More information about Neptuns Dark Rum
They are finally here: our Neptuns Rum bottlings in the new 500ml bottle made from recycled glass.
Over 90% of all rum producers in the world make their rum from molasses, which is a by-product of sugar production and can be obtained quite cheaply on the market. Neptuns Dark Rum, on the other hand, is made from the precious sugar cane juice itself - just like the coveted rhum agricole of French tradition.
After distillation, our Neptuns Dark Rum is placed in very special barrels with extra strong toasting. These heavily toasted barrels and several years of storage give Neptuns Dark Rum a particularly smooth taste and its characteristic and completely natural dark red-golden color. In 2020, Neptuns Dark Rum won gold at the London Spirit Competition and was one of the most successful spirits in the competition with 94 out of 100 points!

Dollerup distillery
In the Dollerup distillery, not far from Flensburg, German whiskey, hand-distilled rhum and gin are produced in addition to brandies and spirits from regional fruit varieties. Sometimes more unusual ingredients end up in the still, such as for our ginger spirit and peanut spirit. With great attention to detail, the distillates are distilled on site and bottled by hand. Visit us! With a little luck you can look over our shoulder during the production of exquisite distillates.
