More information about Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva Tenute Orsumella
90% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Matured for 14 months in barrique barrels. Powerful aromas of raspberries and blackberries combined with gentle spice and a hint of coffee. Harmonious, full-bodied, balanced with a long, lingering finish.
About the winery:
The Orsumella estate is located in Montefiridolfi within the Chianti Classico appellation area, 300 meters above sea level, and extends over 78 hectares, 25 of which are dedicated to vineyards and 11 to olive groves. At the center of the estate, along the ridge road that leads to the urban area, is La Pila, an ancient residence that since the 13th century served as a "court of justice" for business and administrative activities and as the country house of the noble Florentine Buondelmonti family.
Today, the winery is run by the third generation of the Menichetti family. The wines are a successful symbiosis of tradition and modernity.
