More information about Pisco tonic gift box Reservado

Pisco MalPaso Reservado is a Chilean grape brandy that captures all the fruity aromas and flavors of Moscatel grapes in a spirit. Selected grapes are first processed into a strong wine and then distilled into pisco in a copper still. Around 6 months of ageing, first in steel tanks and then in oak barrels, give the distillate a creamy texture and a full mouthfeel without losing the fruity and floral character of the Moscatel grapes.

As a result, it still has a strong enough character to come through aromatically in a pisco sour. But of course you can make things even easier for yourself and follow the Chilean example of simply enjoying pisco as a long drink with a little tonic. This is standard down there and much more widespread than gin and tonic, for example!

And of course we have therefore also put together a small gift box, with which you are prepared for pisco sours, but can at least enjoy a great long drink immediately and without any other ingredients - with the 'correct' mixing ratio of 5cl pisco + 10cl tonic, there are even 4 drinks!

Included are:

1x Pisco MalPaso Reservado - 0.7l | 40 % vol.

Hacienda MalPaso

At the end of the 19th century, Jaime Prohens Juan, a native of Spain, acquired the Hacienda MalPaso, an old farm in the Valle de Limarí. He realized that the ideal climatic conditions at the foot of the imposing 6,000m Chilean Andes were perfect for growing grapes and began planting some vines to produce white wine. By the 1940s, the area under cultivation had expanded to 100 hectares, and the white wine now produced by his son was enjoying great popularity nationwide. Since at least 1937, the company also distilled its own pisco in smaller quantities. The farm, which is now run by the fourth generation of the family and in which the fifth generation is already working diligently, now cultivates over 700 hectares. There, not only grapes for the own Pisco production are cultivated, but also table grapes and citrus fruits, as well as grapes for other Pisco producers. The best vines...
