Pusser's British Navy Rum is a premium rum blend with centuries of history. After the conquest of Jamaica by the English fleet in 1655, the tradition of the daily "tots" of rum was born in the Royal Navy.
The gift administered by the purser (slang pusser) to boost morale became an integral part of English seafaring tradition until 1970, when tribute was paid to technological developments and the increased dangers associated with them, and government-imposed drunkenness was bid "adieu." Once available only to the British Navy, Pusser's Rum has been available to "landlubbers" for some time.
