With its intense aroma of blackberries and black cherries, the Raats Jasper Red Blend will wrap every red wine fan around its finger. Light earthy tones, nuances of dark chocolate, aniseed and spicy tobacco give the red wine a beautiful complexity. On the palate, notes of blueberries and blackberries harmonize with the earthy tones, accompanied by a hint of fresh mint and cinnamon. The fine structure and velvety texture ensure a pleasant mouthfeel. The cuvée of Cabernet Franc (49%), Malbec (35%), Cabernet Sauvignon (9%), Merlot (3.5%) and Petit Verdot (3.5%) matured for sixteen months in French oak and is a wonderful accompaniment to game or dark meat. A delicious cheese platter is also highly recommended with the Raats Jasper Red Blend.
