More information about Raats B Vintners Haarlem to Hope 2018
The Raats Haarlem to Hope is a multifaceted white wine cuvée of Chenin Blanc (61%), Sémillon (36%), Muscat Blanc (1.5%) and Muscat d'Alexandrie (1.5%), which spoils the senses of the connoisseur with its intense fruit aromas, especially pear, nectarine and melon are very present. Spicy nuances and floral undertones add even more complexity to the cuvée. Aged in oak, the white wine lingers long on the palate and is a nice companion to fish, vegetables or ratatouille. Incidentally, the grape varieties of the Haarlem to Hope Council arrived in the Cape through the Dutch settlers and became cornerstones of viticulture. The cuvée therefore also tells the story of African hope and prosperity.
