Raats MR de Compostella 2018 - Red wine

The Raats MR de Compostella is a very special red wine, because how high the proportions of the individual grape varieties are in the cuvée is decided in a blind tasting after they have matured individually in oak for a year. This vintage is composed of Cabernet Franc (54%), Cabernet Sauvignon (23%), Malbec (15%), Merlot (5%) and Petit Verdot (3%) and impresses in the glass with its intense ruby color. The bouquet is a symphony of fruity and spicy aromas of blackcurrant and cherry, with hints of violet and cedar. A pinch of cinnamon makes the first impression perfect. On the palate, this complexity continues as the rich red wine cuvée scores with mineral tones and fruity blackberry nuances. The finish adds a nice chocolate note. The harmonious composition makes the Raats MR de Compostella a culinary highlight that is a real treat in itself. Dishes with fine dark meat or cheese are also a delicious combination to the unique red wine.
