Wonderful aromas of fynbos, lavender, rosemary and thyme rise to the nose and are underpinned by anise, cloves and nutmeg. On the palate, the wonderful spice nuances are accompanied by intense blackberry notes and mineral tones. As versatile as its character, the Raats Family Cabernet Franc is also a food companion. Enjoy the red wine, aged for eighteen months in French oak, for example with lamb in rosemary or chicken in tarragon. Dishes with duck or game in a fruity sauce or even a chocolate cake for dessert are highly recommended with Raats Family Cabernet Franc.
