This remarkable mezcal comes from Oaxaca and is distilled in the presence of organic coffee beans, organic cocoa beans, piloncillo (unrefined brown sugar) and cinnamon sticks. During distillation, a basket containing these ingredients is suspended above the still. As the steam rises, it passes through the basket and gently infuses the mezcal with the deep, multi-layered aromas of coffee, cocoa, sweetness and spice.
The result is a mezcal of exceptional complexity, combining roasted coffee and dark chocolate with warm cinnamon and the natural depth of agave.
