The Meerlust Red pours into the glass in a dark garnet red and smells wonderfully of red fruits and warm spices. A light oak note rounds off the first impression of the cuvée made from Merlot (25%), Cabernet Franc (36%), Cabernet Sauvignon (25%) and Petit Verdot (14%) perfectly. The Meerlust Red is intense, full-bodied and well-structured on the palate and impresses with fresh notes of red fruit and soft tannins. The red wine matures for several months in French oak and is an excellent accompaniment to game, dark meat or cheese. But Meerlust Red is also always a highlight in a glass of red wine on its own.
