More information about Selection 16/79 Chardonnay 2021
Those who like a multifaceted Chardonnay will simply love the Selection 16/79 Chardonnay. With wonderful citrus aromas, the white wine ensnares the nose, while beautiful notes of vanilla and ginger give the bouquet even more complexity. On the palate, the creamy smooth and full-bodied Selection 16/79 Chardonnay impresses with its excellent balance and long-lasting flavor. The limited edition white wine was aged for seven to eight months in French oak and is a culinary highlight on its own, but it also combines wonderfully with poultry in a fruity sauce, fish or seafood. The wine is part of the Selection 16/79 dedicated to Simon van der Stel. The collection commemorates the fact that van der Stel, as governor of the Cape, had a significant influence on South African wine culture from 1679.
