The red wine is complex and multi-layered on the palate. Aromas of creamy strawberry and ripe plum combine with subtle earthy tones and fynbos, the typical South African plant. The wine matured for twelve months in French oak, is superbly balanced and impresses with its fine, well-integrated tannins, which lead to a long finish.
The Simonsig Labyrinth Cabernet Sauvignon is a perfect accompaniment to braised beef with turnip and carrot puree, lamb with roasted cauliflower and hearty pasta dishes.
