The Simonsig Redhill Pinotage sparkles a vibrant red in the glass and immediately impresses with its complexity. Numerous fruity notes, including aromas of cranberries, blackberries and raspberries, are very present and are accompanied by violets and vanilla. The oak notes are perfectly integrated on the palate and fine tannins in combination with the great acidity make for a wonderful taste experience. Incidentally, the Simonsig Redhill Pinotage owes its name to the famous red hills of the vineyard and their red soils. The red wine matures for eighteen months in French oak and is not only a pleasure on its own, but is also an excellent accompaniment to dishes with dark meat or savory dishes.
