More information about Simonsig Syrah Merindol 2018

The Simonsig Syrah Merindol flows into the glass in a beautiful purple red and reveals its complex character on the nose. Wonderful aromas of blackcurrants and dark plums pamper the connoisseur's senses. A hint of lavender and mocha rounds off the first impression perfectly. On the palate, the good tannin structure ensures a long-lasting taste experience. The red wine matures for twenty months in French oak and is an ideal accompaniment to spicy dishes with a peppery note; a delicious rump steak is particularly recommended. The name of the Simonsig Syrah Merindol is reminiscent of the French village where the owner family Malan comes from.
