More information about Simonsig Tiara 2017
In a beautiful maroon color that turns into a bright red at the rim, the Simonsig Tiara presents itself in the glass. The red wine cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon (63%), Merlot (27%), Petit Verdot (6%) and Cabernet Franc (4%) is the flagship of the winery, so only the best grapes that the vintage has to offer are used for the Simonsig Tiara. Already on the nose, the red wine enchants with its wonderful aroma of blackcurrants and dark cherries, as well as undertones of oak and light floral nuances. This complexity continues on the palate. Concentrated aromas of dark fruits are surrounded by fine cocoa and spicy hints. Well-integrated oak notes and silky soft tannins give the Simonsig Tiara a wonderful mouthfeel. Its elegance and intense fruity notes make the red wine, aged for 19 months in French oak, a culinary highlight in itself, but the Simonsig Tiara also perfectly accompanies dishes with dark meat, pasta and mushrooms.
