This exceptional whisky is matured for 3 to 6 years in new American white oak casks, before maturing for a further 12 months in specially selected Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez. During this time, the whisky takes on pleasantly spicy sherry notes, giving it a wonderfully complex flavor.
The Oloroso sherry, a fortified white wine from Andalusia, leaves the finest fruit and wood notes in its maturing cask. These aromas are absorbed by the SLYRS Bavarian Single Malt and give it an incomparable depth of flavor. Oloroso sherry is a very dry type of sherry that gives the whisky slightly leathery and earthy notes.
The result is a unique aroma that is best enjoyed at slightly below room temperature.
