More information about Smilla
Smilla is a beer from Flügge that tastes just as elegant and light-footed as it is called
Smilla is not Swedish, but a real Berliner Weisse that has been combined with an elegant white wine To create such a lively, light-footed beer, the brewers have used hand-picked Grüner Veltliner grapes from the Daniel Mattern vineyard Smilla gets its special character from the yeast varieties A very special taste is created with the help of Belgian seasonal yeast and the infamous Brettanomyces yeast
Exciting!
Smilla flows into the glass in a slightly cloudy, pale gold hue and forms a thin, white head A slightly sweet, subtly sour and wonderfully fruity aroma rises from the volatile foam The nose is filled with the fruity aroma of white wine, delicate lemon and the unmistakable scent of Brettanomyces yeast, which evokes different associations for everyone Some people smell fully ripe fruit, others speak of the aroma of white truffles The first sip follows on from the elegant potpourri of aromas: Sweet, sour and yeasty, dry and fruity Smilla enchants with a wide range of different aromas and is reminiscent in equal parts of a crisp, sour Berliner Weisse and a playful white wine
