More information about Snowy Owl Kennedy Berliner Weisse
Berlin is the hip capital of Germany and has always attracted interesting people. Everyone would like to be a Berliner, as confirmed not least by the former President of the United States John F. Kennedy.
A beer is named after this illustrious personality, which is indeed Berliner with body and soul. Kennedy is an original Berliner Weisse from Schneeeule, which is not only brewed in the capital, but also tastes like it. In addition to the usual suspects, the Weisse's label features a number of unusual ingredients: saccaromyces, brettanomyces and lactobacilli. What sounds like chemistry sets are special yeasts and lactic acid bacteria that give the fancy beer a very special kick and support the natural sourness of Berliner Weissen in a sensational way.
Kennedy presents itself in a cloudy amber gold in the glass and is crowned by a handsome amount of airy foam. A subtly sour aroma typical of the beer style rises to the nose. The initial drink reveals a light-footed body with refreshing fruit and a quaffable 3.5% alcohol content. A lot of sparkling carbonic acid lets the flavors dance on the tongue. In the mix are notes of green apple, pink grapefruit, orange and lemon zest, oven-fresh brioche and lightly toasted malt. A pleasant astringency and a crisp acidity accompany the drinking pleasure and skillfully round off the play of aromas.
