More information about Solar das Bouças Vinho Verde Loureiro
Vinho Verde translates as the "green wine".
This means that it is young and should be drunk young to maintain its refreshing nature.
Loureiro is a Vinho Verde with fresh citrus and white fruit aromas, with spicy notes and a subtle mineral note. On the palate it is light, fresh, fruity, citrusy and pleasantly long on the finish.
Not only can it be enjoyed perfectly on its own, its light complexity makes it a wonderful match for seafood, light meals and, of course, as an aperitif.

Solar the Bouças
The name Solar das Bouças has a long history, dating back to the 18th century. In the center of the estate was an impressive manor house, also known as "Solar". Its property included several "bouças", which consisted of wheat fields, orchards, vegetable gardens and pine forests. More than half a century has passed since Albano Castro Sousa acquired the ruined estate and turned it into a famous vineyard. Solar das Bouças quickly became a byword for high quality. Eventually, the estate was sold to the van Zeller family who, under Fernando van Zeller's leadership, brought it to new heights. Renovations were made and new vines were planted in all sorts of varieties. Solar das Bouças is nowadays managed by an investment company run by António Ressurreição. It was his first investment in wine land and he bought it out of pure passion.
