The Spier Creative Block 3 Magnum shimmers a dark ruby red in the glass, turning purple at the rim. The cuvée of Shiraz (93%), Mourvèdre (4%) and Viognier (3%) impresses with a complex interplay of aromas of concentrated fruit notes such as mulberries and pomegranate, supported by coriander and black pepper. Silky smooth on the palate, this red wine, which has matured for 18 months in French and American oak, lingers for a long time. Creative Block 3 is best served with spicy dishes with dark meat or an oriental curry.
