More information about Spier Seaward Shiraz 2019

Ruby red, the Spier Seaward Shiraz shimmers in the glass and exudes the wonderful scent of mulberries, black currants and blackberries. The beautiful fruit aromas are underpinned by light spice notes such as pepper and anise. The red wine is also beautifully fruity and balanced on the palate and the soft tannins give the Spier Seaward Shiraz, aged for 14 months in French oak, a lovely mouthfeel. This makes the red wine a treat on its own, but it also pairs perfectly with tapas or dark meat dishes. The grapes used for the Spier Seaward Shiraz come from vineyards located near the Atlantic Ocean, which also gave the wine its name, because "seaward" means something like "sea-side".
