The Spier Seaward Shiraz flows into the glass in a dark ruby red. The aromas of mulberries, blackcurrants and blackberries, paired with subtle spicy notes of pepper and aniseed, will delight any fan of the grape variety. The red wine, which has matured for fourteen months in French oak, is well-balanced on the palate and the soft tannins give the Spier Seaward Shiraz a pleasant mouthfeel. The red wine is therefore a treat for the palate on its own, but it also goes well with spicy dishes or dark meat. The name "Seaward" is a reference to the vineyard that provides the grapes for the Spier Seaward Shiraz, as it faces the sea near the Atlantic Ocean.
