Steenberg Merlot 2018 - Red wine

Elegant with soft fruit notes and characteristic aromas of vanilla, cedar and clove - this is the Steenberg Merlot. The wonderful aroma combines notes of sour cherries and plums with spicy tobacco leaves. On the palate, the fruity-spicy interplay of aromas continues: red currants meet vanilla and clove here. Fine, well-integrated tannins and the velvety texture give the Steenberg Merlot a great structure. Enjoy this full-bodied wine, aged for 24 months in French oak, best with aromatic and Mediterranean tomato-based dishes, stews with dark meat, or aged cheeses. But Steenberg Merlot is also a treat on its own.
