Golden yellow in color, spicy on the nose: with its innovative production, the new Lyonel Barrel Aged Special Edition is not only at the avant-garde of the German gin scene, it also adds an additional potpourri of fine aromas to the classic, juniper-accented bouquet.
The reason? A delicately balanced maturation in American oak barrels, which gives it a distinctive barrel aroma thanks to its strong toast. The nose is dominated by sweet and spicy juniper and a menthol freshness that is second to none. Lavender and sweet vanilla aromas alternate in the background, creating a refinement that is sure to delight. A subtle cinnamon note adds a touch of Christmas. Thanks to its dry yet complex aroma profile, the Lyonel Barrel Aged Special Edition is not only ideal for pure enjoyment, but also cuts a fine figure in innovative gin cocktails.
Original whisky barrel, produced in the USA by Independant Stave Company (ISC), a subsidiary of World Cooperage. Made from 18-month air-dried American oak (from Ozarks / Missouri). These barrels are toasted with the classic gas toast, the charring. In the standard segment, these barrels are equipped with the Char#3 - the Crocodile Toast.
The flavors are typical bourbon notes such as vanilla, toast and nut, paired with sweet smoky aromas. The color release results in a great, deep golden hue.
