Wines Martin Darting from Wachenheim in the Palatinate. Martin Darting is certainly the sensory guru in Germany and a sommelier trainer. Since 2022 he has also been making his own wine again. Unadulterated, natural wines with character! This Merlot is unfiltered, hardly sulphurized and aromatically characterized by spiciness and a pleasant acidity.
The nose reveals ripe red fruits such as blackberry, blackcurrant and a subtle hint of plum, accompanied by a floral note of violets and a bouquet of Mediterranean herbs. Lively acidity on the palate and again this lining spiciness make this wine an excellent companion for all kinds of stews.
