A sweet and palatable brewing creation that completely reinterprets the world-famous Black Forest cultural heritage. Brewed as an Imperial Stout and matured for almost six months in a Black Forest rum barrel. A Black Forest rum from the Wild distillery in Gengenbach previously matured for 12 years in the freshly emptied oak barrel.

Die Gründer von Black Forest Brewing, Steffen, Manuel und Dominic, kamen auf ungewöhnlichen Wegen zusammen. Steffen hatte die Idee während seines Brau- und Getränketechnologie-Studiums in München. Er überzeugte Dominic, seinen langjährigen Freund und IT-Experten, schnell von der Idee, eine Brauerei zu gründen. Sie tüftelten Jahre lang an ungewöhnlichen Bierkreationen und entwickelten ein Markenkonzept mit Hilfe von Vivian, einer Kollegin von Dominic & begabten Künstlerin. Jedoch fehlten ihnen Businessplan und Budget und so versank der Traum von Black Forest Brewing zunächst im Sand.
