Absinthe Gold68 is produced in the small French town of Fougerolles. As early as the 19th century, the town was known for its fine distillates. To this day, you can find active distilleries here that can look back on centuries of history. The distillery where Gold68 is produced was founded in 1859. As 100 years ago, the wormwood for the absinthes is grown in the distillery's own wormwood field.

he harvest begins every year in July. Then the plants, now up to 2 meters high, are traditionally harvested by hand. The wormwood is then dried in a special wooden hut (the séchoir). The high temperature in summer and the cold weather in winter are optimal conditions for the best quality vermouth.

How to drink Gold68 Absinthe:

We recommend drinking Gold68 Absinthe with at least one sugar cube. Since the focus of this absinthe is on the wormwood, it can also be clearly tasted out. In addition, the bitter taste of the wormwood is not masked by flavorful sweet-smelling herbs such as fennel or anise, since the absence of these herbs is precisely what gives this absinthe its anise-free taste.
