More information about Amis Volume 4
To celebrate their long-standing friendship, the two breweries Freigeist Bierkultur and Stillwater Artisanal started brewing beer together at some point The series bears the French term for "friends" and is now in its fifth round
Number 4 in the series is a Gose The old German beer style disappeared from the beer market for a long time before craft brewers ventured a renaissance The Gose is traditionally brewed with coriander and salt - a combination that fits the character of the sour beer perfectly The brewers from Freigeist and Stillwater have remained true to the classic recipe, but have added an aromatic component: fig juice brings an exotic sweetness into play and gives the beer a soft fruitiness
Amis Volume 4 presents itself in a warm honey tone with a copper-red shimmer in the glass The golden, naturally cloudy body is topped with a crown of fluffy, white foam that quickly evaporates Fig and coriander run like a red thread through the beer experience and can be perceived as dominant both olfactorily and in terms of taste The first sip reveals a beer with a skillful balance of acidity, Soft notes of ripe figs, rhubarb and coriander caress the palate before the beer's enjoyment leads to a sour finish with fruity and subtly salty notes
